Pics

Our friends, Melissa and Cary came up for a visit this weekend. We went and had dinner at the Melting Pot in Seattle and it was so yummy! Jake had a great time, I think he might be a chocolate lover.

Jacob loves Aunt Mel and Uncle Cary!

Jacob's new bathtub!
Jacob was a little cranky the other day (minor ear infection), I put Winnie the Pooh on so I could start dinner, hoping he wouldn't need my full attention. He sat there for 30 minutes, not moving at all! He didn't even notice when I took the picture. Winnie the Pooh is a miracle worker.

So cute! He is getting too big for his swing, it will be getting packed up soon. They need to make swings that hold up to 50+ pounds or something. It has been our god-send, Jacob just loves it (so does mommy)!

Protecting his bottle - if I try to take it out of his arms while he is sleeping, he wakes up and puts it in his mouth, falling back to sleep seconds later. I have learned to leave it alone.

Jake gets a kick out of looking in the mirror, he's not quite sure how he can see mommy and daddy in the mirror, then turn his head and we are there too! He just laughs and laughs. It's so cute to watch him try to figure stuff out.

Our Weekend

Happy Easter!!
Here is Jacob finding his first Easter basket from the Easter Bunny... (Grandma)!
Lots of new toys!

Grandma and Jacob

Jacob with a truck full of Easter eggs, he helped us dye eggs. He was most proud of his blue "Jake" egg!

As you can see, Jacob is now sitting independently.
Such a big boy!

Jacob with his football (Nate is proud)!

Our friends Brian and Amy came over on Saturday, so Jake and Aidan could have a play date.
Congrats Aidan on your first 2 teeth!

Awww... I think this will be more embarrassing than the naked photos!

Sharing toys

Aren't they cute?!?

On Friday night, my mom and I and our friends, Debi and Charae went to a Broadway play 'Mama Mia' in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre. It was a fantastic show! Above is a picture of the theatre, it was built back in 1928! It is such a beautiful building.

Happy 6 Months Jacob!

Jacob turned 6 months old today! We can hardly believe it... it has been the most wonderful 6 months of our lives. We have put together a video of our baby boy, please turn up your volume and enjoy! The video is a little over 9 minutes long, but worth your time - especially for the videos at the end (we saved the best for last)!

Kitchen Updates

We are pretty much finished with our kitchen after 2 long weekends! Nate has declared this house "project free" for at least a month. We are still deciding if we want to add hardware to the cabinets and drawers, let me know what you think.

We did buy a new stove, dishwasher and a huge new set of awesome pans that I love last weekend. We purchased the sink and faucet set when we moved in a year and a half ago. We will probably be in our condo for another year, so we decided to stay with the white appliances, that way we didn't have to replace the microwave or refrigerator.

BEFORE: Yucky countertops and linoleum floors...

DURING: Nathan hard at work way into the night... poor guy. I don't think he wants to look at another tile for a few months! And I don't want to see a Lowe's for a LONG TIME! I think they were beginning to know me by name.

AFTER: Much Better!

Thank you Nathan for all your hard work! You did a great job! I love you.

Go Beavs!

I am staying up late with Nate this evening (yes, I know... Nate usually never stays up past 10pm) but we are working on upgrading a few things in our kitchen this weekend. I'm so excited! I will have to post pictures when it's finished. We are just getting new countertops, backsplash and pergo floors. Nate is staying up to finish laying the tile, so we can grout tomorrow... fun, fun, fun! Thanks to mom and Darel for the help today, and for helping with the cost of some of this stuff - thank goodness we have a small kitchen. So, here are some new pictures taken yesterday and today.

Jacob's new favorite outfit, GO BEAVS! Thanks for the gift Jackie!
Jacob: The future Beaver Football Quarterback
Can you tell we are OSU Alumni?!?
Jacob had his first sippie-cup experience today. Yummy apple juice!

I took this picture after bathtime this evening... he loves being wrapped up in his towel. Jake enjoys bathtime, he can't wait for the tub each night. He got to take a bath in the big tub this evening - since our kitchen is out of commission.

Giving daddy some loves!
