On Saturday, we had an adventure as a family and got to go to Disney Playhouse in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre to see Pooh and Tigger, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and Micky Mouse! It was an unbelievable experience and we had so much fun, we weren't able to take many pictures because cameras were not allowed but Jacob's face was pure joy and it just melted our hearts. The couple of times he got to go up on daddy's shoulders while everyone did the Mickey Mouse dance and Jacob's grin was so big (and mommy and grandma were in tears) it was adorable! At the end of the show, all the characters came out and did a big dance together and it was Jacob's favorite part. He sat on my lap, clapped his hands to the beat and was so excited, he kept pointing to all his favorite characters (Pooh and Tigger) and when all the confetti came shooting out, he let out a happy yell and then waved bye-bye to all of them... it is a memory we will all take with us.

They announced we were taking intermission, here is Jacob's face - "What? Keep the show going!! We don't need intermission, no diaper changes people!"
Jacob was worn out after the show and dinner, we found a great restaurant in downtown Seattle a few blocks from the theatre. Jacob is now ordering from the kids menu, so he gets his own meal. And no, he does not get his own Starbucks... I think he would be awake, not asleep.
At the show, grandma bought him this light wand and a Handy Manny doll (action figure). The light wand is the most awesome toy ever!!! He hasn't put it down, he held it for the entire show, you can't see it in the pictures, but the ball lights up bright colors and flashes and yes, Jacob whacked the guy sitting in front of us a few times in the theatre.
A lot of the kids in our playdates have been getting pretty sick, so we have just stayed home this past week. I could tell on Thursday Jake wasn't feeling too well, he just wanted to sit in his Pooh chair and watch Pooh and Tigger or cuddle with me all day (which of course, I don't mind). Poor little man, but he fought off the sickness and was fine after a few hours.
Jacob's new thing: Throwing EVERYTHING over the gate. For those of you that have not been to our house. Beyond this gate, is two stairs down, you turn to the left and there is a laundry room and a bathroom and if you turn to the right there is a flight of stairs to the front door. Jacob throws many toys over the gate and loves to listen to them bounce all the way down the stairs and to hear them hit the front door and then laughs. When Nate gets home from work, he is welcomed to a pile of Jake's toys. What a kid!
Jacob is also learning some body parts, he knows where his tummy and belly button is, his nose, ears and toes. We are slowing but surely working on the rest.
I am excited to say I am going to Hawaii in March! I am going with 4 women in my mom's group I joined and can't wait. It will be so much fun, we are going for 6 days! Thank you to Nathan and my mom for taking the week off to watch Jacob!!!
