Family

We had some very important visitors this weekend. Jerrod, Maggie, Whitney and Kennedy came to stay with us for 3 nights and we loved each and every minute of it! The girls are doing so well, Whitney is weighing over 8 lbs and Kennedy is catching up weighing over 7 1/2 lbs. They celebrated their 2 month birthday on Saturday.

Jake showed Whitney how to hold her own bottle, she is learning very quickly!

Uh, mom... help!

Umm... mom, are they staying?

We went into Seattle on Saturday and had lunch at my favorite restaurant on Lake Union. We took everyone up to Kerry Park (where we had our wedding photos taken). Such a beautiful view of the city, we just wish the spring weather would get here!

Here are some pictures taken from Maggie's camera over the last month:
I love this picture!
The girls in their Easter dresses, how adorable!

Maggie caught Kennedy with a smile!

Here are some pictures of Jake over the last few days:

Okay, so Jacob NEVER cuddles anymore, he is a very independent little guy. Nate came home from work on Friday surprised that Jacob was asleep curled up on my chest (I loved it, my little cuddle bug baby was back)! Nate took lots of pictures to capture the moment.

Jacob got a bath from daddy the other night, I heard Jacob laughing from their tickling session, so I ran upstairs to get a few pictures.

Jacob sporting my sunglasses. He really liked them, never tried to take them off.

Never Enough Toys!

It's great that Jacob has been sitting up on his own for the last few weeks! I usually surround him with 5 or 6 toys, leave him in the living room playing while I do some house work and he is very content. If his toys get out of reach, he is very good at balancing himself and reaching for them without tipping over! But my mistake this morning was leaving the toy basket next to him... I am guessing he didn't like the toys I picked out for him!

All Gone!

Mommy, can you buy some more toys?

Pics

Our friends, Melissa and Cary came up for a visit this weekend. We went and had dinner at the Melting Pot in Seattle and it was so yummy! Jake had a great time, I think he might be a chocolate lover.

Jacob loves Aunt Mel and Uncle Cary!

Jacob's new bathtub!
Jacob was a little cranky the other day (minor ear infection), I put Winnie the Pooh on so I could start dinner, hoping he wouldn't need my full attention. He sat there for 30 minutes, not moving at all! He didn't even notice when I took the picture. Winnie the Pooh is a miracle worker.

So cute! He is getting too big for his swing, it will be getting packed up soon. They need to make swings that hold up to 50+ pounds or something. It has been our god-send, Jacob just loves it (so does mommy)!

Protecting his bottle - if I try to take it out of his arms while he is sleeping, he wakes up and puts it in his mouth, falling back to sleep seconds later. I have learned to leave it alone.

Jake gets a kick out of looking in the mirror, he's not quite sure how he can see mommy and daddy in the mirror, then turn his head and we are there too! He just laughs and laughs. It's so cute to watch him try to figure stuff out.

Our Weekend

Happy Easter!!
Here is Jacob finding his first Easter basket from the Easter Bunny... (Grandma)!
Lots of new toys!

Grandma and Jacob

Jacob with a truck full of Easter eggs, he helped us dye eggs. He was most proud of his blue "Jake" egg!

As you can see, Jacob is now sitting independently.
Such a big boy!

Jacob with his football (Nate is proud)!

Our friends Brian and Amy came over on Saturday, so Jake and Aidan could have a play date.
Congrats Aidan on your first 2 teeth!

Awww... I think this will be more embarrassing than the naked photos!

Sharing toys

Aren't they cute?!?

On Friday night, my mom and I and our friends, Debi and Charae went to a Broadway play 'Mama Mia' in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre. It was a fantastic show! Above is a picture of the theatre, it was built back in 1928! It is such a beautiful building.

Happy 6 Months Jacob!

Jacob turned 6 months old today! We can hardly believe it... it has been the most wonderful 6 months of our lives. We have put together a video of our baby boy, please turn up your volume and enjoy! The video is a little over 9 minutes long, but worth your time - especially for the videos at the end (we saved the best for last)!
